Three days in and already I’ve stumbled and missed a day.  Today I am standing back up, brushing off the dust of disappointment and starting again.  Life without failures would be so less interesting.  It’s what we do with those failures that really counts, right?  I’m moving forward with that thought today.

A few weeks  back Rylee and I were invited to an event called Uncorked: Sangria Tasting.  It was so much fun!  Basically everyone brought their own Sangria recipe and shared the fruits of their labor.  Colorful fruits, snazzy pitchers, and a variety of super secret ingredients made for a dangerously delicious tasting experience.  To accompany the liquid candy was a fiesta inspired Mexican meal that rivaled any I have every had the pleasure to enjoy.  Janice shared her culinary skills perfected while in Mazatlan and the result was mouth watering wonderful.  Rylee even tried her hand at homemade tortillas which makes me wonder how I was ever satisfied by store bought.  It is always such a delight to meet new faces from different walks of life and realize that really, given a nice glass of wine, savory meal and good conversation, we all have something to offer and  much to enjoy.
