The day started out far, far removed from picture perfect. When I left my house the rain had begun to fall and the sky left no question that the slight drizzle was just the opening performer for the big act to follow. However, since I couldn’t reach Cal and Annie on their cell, and it is unforgivably rude to stand someone up in the rain, I made the trip out to Mukilteo knowing full well it was just going to be for a shared cup of coffee but absolutely no photos today. Turns out I couldn’t have been more mistaken. It did rain the entire drive there, and continued to look ominously gloomy until I dropped down by the ferry landing. It was like the sky had captured just a small bit of blue and chunked it all together over the Mukilteo lighthouse. How nice was that! Cal and Annie, I am so glad to have been able to spend a portion of your anniversary with you and enjoyed the laughter, smiles and your oh-so-cute mini cooper. I wish you a year of adventure as your love story continues and may you enjoy each other’s company as much and more with every passing day.
