Eat the biscuit, run tomorrow. Silly, but this little bit of wisdom shared during our walkabout engagement session will probably stick with me for the long road. Enjoy the moments of today, no matter if it is the most delicious biscuit I have ever tasted or the delightful company of friends, and know that work will still get done. I may have to work a little harder to make up the difference, but the joys of friendships and culinary delights make it totally worth it. I could spend more time philosophizing over this little nugget, but I think the point has been made.
We started Mariella & Brian’s engagement session at their home. I love to photograph people in their own space. It lends a certain level of intimacy and a small window into a secret place. In their home you discover Brian likes to dance with Mariella to spanish music, the guitar in the corner that hints at a talent that may go unnoticed without the clue, the message board on the dish washer used to write notes to one another. I love these little treasures of information that together, with hundreds of other pieces, form the beautiful relationship they share. After enjoying some time in their home we moved on to the Black Bottle. The very place their relationship began. Or rather, the very place it began for Brian but where Mariella still held some reservations. Fortunately for both of them, Brian is persistent. Eventually he won the fair maidens hand, and clearly, the love story continues.
This might be my favorite.

Absolutely stunning. I cannot wait to see Mariella as a bride!

Maybe these are my favorite of the day. I just can’t decide. Mariella is looking so happy in the moment.
