Easter: Eggs, Family, Coconut Ice Cream and Rejoicing

So often the holidays are given over to activity and filled to overflowing with things that stray far from the purpose of the day.  I love, delight and am completely happy when I am able to spend time with family and friends and really enjoy any reason to be able to do so.  This year was no different.  We colored eggs, searched out hidden ones, cranked out some delicious homemade coconut ice cream (thanks so much to Clive and Beth)  and enjoyed a day in the company of loved ones.  That in itself is a gift to be grateful for.  I suppose the reflection begins when I realize that the magnitude of events that lay in the past and yet live on today are grander and more amazing with time and are indeed the greatest gift.  For truly He has done it all and we have but to believe.

Posterity will serve him; future generations will be told about the Lord. They will

proclaim his righteousness to a people yet unborn — for he has done it.

– Psalm 22:30-31 NIV
