The chemistry of every family is unique to all parts included and I always enjoy watching the inner workings. This family gathering was so comfortable and fun I felt ready and willing to invite myself to join in the Christmas celebration that was happening after our photo session. I didn’t act on my impulse, as that would be a huge social overstep, but they were all so warm and inviting I felt part of the gathering for the hour we shared together. I know without a doubt, the afternoon that followed was filled with laughter, teasing, and a whole lot of loving fun. Who wouldn’t want to join? It could help that my good friend Jana was among their ranks, but really everyone added to the effect. Not to mention they sent me home with what were definitely, absolutely no contest, the most delicious Christmas cookies I have ever had the pleasure of melting in my mouth. So good in fact, I thought twice about devouring the entire plate before reaching home. Clearly a day of low impulse control.
