We’ve been asked by several clients and other photographers about the post processing of our images. Our goal with each image is to have good color, clarity and sharpness. We work hard to be mentally present with every click of the shutter, making sure that our exposure and focus points are correct on each image. We understand that good photographs start out that way – they aren’t saved by Photoshop. However, Photoshop is a magic tool for enhancing images. We use a mixture of Lightroom 2, Photoshop CS4 and some awesome actions by Kevin Kubota, Totally Rad Actions, Pioneer Woman and a few random others. We have come up with our own “recipes” for our images. We don’t do extensive work in post processing, but each wedding has a few images that we pour a little extra attention into. Here is my favorite shot of our beautiful bride Cheryl.
Before:
There is nothing wrong with this image, it just lacks the pop that it has potential for.

After:
Slight Lighten 100% + Boost 100% + Pro Retouch 20-70% + Daily Multi Vitamin + Bring Out the Eyes 50% + Sharpen This! 20-50% = finished product
