When I was a little girl I dressed up in party dresses, put on white gloves and went to my aunt’s house for tea parties throughout the year.  At the valentine’s tea, I was guaranteed to find my favorite cookie – a teapot shaped sugar cookie sandwich with a heart cut in the middle so you could see the yummy jam inside.  The Christmas tea brought red dresses and a shiny new ornament for the tree.  We had tea parties for birthdays, spring, summer and just because.  I knew to fold my napkin in my lap and to pour tea from a heavy pot without dripping on the lace table cloth.  My aunt made oodles of goodies, and there was always a plate of cucumber sandwiches.  Being an eight year old girl was pretty perfect in my world. About a month ago I had the opportunity to go back to my aunt’s house for a tea party, but this time I was photographing other little girls having fun. Â Here are some images from Arlee’s 10th birthday tea party.
