Heat, Fire and a Pretty Bride

The whole in the ozone layer has moved and settled directly over my house, letting the sun bake down on it, closer than ever, killing plants and cooking my living room, and driving David and I to sleep in the basement.  Last night I dragged him out of a dead sleep at 4:45 because of my new Spidey sense that comes with pregnancy.  It’s kind of like super-duper caveman sensitivity to danger.  I swear if I were in a cave and a panther walked by I could hear it, or in the case of last night, if my cave was on fire I could definitely smell it.  I swore I smelled smoke being blown into the basement by our box fan.  I made him get up and take a whiff…nothing he says.  Yet he valiantly went upstairs to check out the “smell” – relying on my sixth sense.  I followed behind, convinced that someone’s house was on fire – hoping it wasn’t ours.   He hit the main floor and looked at me and told me it was outside smoke but that he’d check upstairs.  Being that it was 4 in the morning, I naturally had to pee like Seabiscuit, and in case my husband came running back down the stiars to drag me out to safety I wanted to save myself the embarrassment of peeing in my own driveway.   All that to say, I’m back in the basement enjoying the cool air, editing photos and happy that my cave is still in tact…along with my pregnant spidey-sense.  Here is a sneak peek of Dan & Angela’s wedding.  More to come!
