Hidden Talents

So I’ve found it.  I searched deep, I mean really deep down into the inner muckity muck that is my inner self and I discovered a hidden talent that has been left dormant and undiscovered for years!  For Landon’s birthday I decided that since we weren’t shooting a wedding the day before I could make my own fabulous Trophy Cupcakes and save myself a few dollars as well as tap into my inner Martha.  There is a recipe for their Smores Cupcake online and I knew that should I really put my mind and heart into it I too could create a baking delight.  A cupcake worthy of a photo.  A gold gilt frame in a room designed entirely around it’s beauty.  I know, I was aiming high but I’m not usually so great with my baking endeavors.  As it turns out, aiming high, reaching for the stars and trying really, really hard got me here.  I think I’ll let the photos explain.

This is Trophy’s version of the Smores Cupcake.  So pretty, a piece of art to eat.

Not the same.  Not even close.  It could be the absence of the teal plate, but somehow I don’t think that would do the trick.

Jennda - Seriously LMAO. IN fact LMAO so much that I felt inclined to use the acronym LMAO. That's a lot of laughing, because you know my real life would not include text invented acronyms. I love you & your culinary endeavors Kel. They have been the highlight of many a day in my life. :)March 16, 2009 - 4:16 pm
