Bowie Tuesday: Family Photobooth
What’s a family party without a few photobooth photos? Thought I’d share a few of the party guests for Bowie Tuesday. Here’s to a great year at 4 & 7!

Galen & Alicia Part 2
On to the details! The wedding ceremony and reception were at Craven Farm. Alicia was a very talented DIY bride and made most of the decor herself. Bugsie Productions provided the rockin’ tunes, and the cake was made by a friend. Her beautiful dress was from Private Label Bridal. P.S. I’m the hot pregnant one.

Sundquist Thursday: Princess Party
What better way to stretch a friendship than to share your toddler birthday party? Nadia and Addison had a fabulous princess party in celebration of turning 2 and 4. There was hair, makeup (Salon Maison), nails, dress up, custom hair accessories and a tea party. Fun was had by all!

I must brag on my friend. Kelly made all of the star wands and tiaras, and suffered a needle wound in the process. I’m so proud of the DIY, give-your-girl-all-you’ve-got spirit that is behind these little party favors.

I love that Raeley and Nadia have the same lipstick face. Part pirate, part stroke victim. It makes me wonder what us moms must look like when we put on our makeup – imitation is the best form of flattery.

Everybody knows that blowing out the candles is the best part of having a birthday. Naturally, we put candles in each girls cupcake about five times. Added all together we had far more than 4 and 2 wishes shared with among happy friends.

Galen & Alicia: Craven Farm Wedding part 1
My little brother will always be about twelve in my head. Maybe six. He played with Thomas the Train. He watched Winnie the Pooh. He sucked his thumb. I threw a coat hanger at him once when I was mad at him. I see him riding a bike with training wheels and a huge helmet, barreling into the ditch. I can see him with a pirate costume on, or holding an air rifle and playing the Alamo. I see him playing basketball. Collecting tennis shoes. I remember putting away his laundry and seeing his envelope marked “Date Money”, and I thought Wow, he’s old enough to date?! Now he’s old enough to be married. He bought a house. He bought a dog. It’s funny how we all grow up and do grown up things. Look at me – I’ve got kids. Who knew? I feel like I was just dropping into bed dead tired after volleyball practice. One thing I always knew about my brother was that he would be a great husband. Growing up and sharing a bathroom with two sisters pretty much guaranteed it. He painted my nails for me when he was about three – so Alicia, if you are nine months pregnant, bust out that red polish and tell him to go to work on those toes you can’t see. He’s a quite a catch, and check out the cute bride he snagged!
