Shake it.

I am not a big fan of the Iphone camera.  Turns out that in the two years I’ve had my phone I’ve only taken about 100 photos with it which is a pretty poor showing considering that it is with me all the time.  That is all going to change.  I discovered a new App last night thanks to a rabbit trail of blog reading that took me to sean flanigan’s site.  He is an extraordinary Seattle based photographer with his own distinct style.  He suffered from the same non-enthusiasm with iphone photos but had discovered a cure for the discontent.  What is this wonder of all wonders application?  Shake it Photo.  It pretty much puts all the fun back in photo taking while giving you a rockin photo finish.  I spent some time this morning going back through my paltry collection and transformed them from too-blah-to-transfer-to-my-computer, to I-have-to-tell-everyone!  The nostalgic polaroid effect alone would have won me over, not to mention the 99cent price tag.  Paired all this with a sunny day headed to the park with my kids and my heart is glad as Christmas morning.

Kristina - I absolutely love these. We have two girls and are expecting a third one shortly which will put us in 3 under 3 category. I love my Nikon SLR, but with all the baby paraphinalia I have to log with me to the park, sometimes a phone or a point-and-shoot is all I can carry.February 19, 2010 - 11:42 am

Adam Stevens - Have you looked at Chase Jarvis' "the best camera". It's an app, site and more... $3 but from what I've seen if you want to blast social networking with images (twitter, flickr, fb, etc.) it rocks. Hit #1 in the App store a while ago... http://thebestcamera.com/February 22, 2010 - 2:48 pm
