The First Look

A lot of couples debate about whether or not the groom should see the bride before she’s walking down the aisle.  It’s a big decision, and some couple’s really struggle to figure out what they want to do.  As an alternative to the actual ceremony, we like to create a moment for the first look – a little time for the bride and groom to privately see each other, cry a little, and soak up the experience of being a BRIDE and a GROOM!  It’s an ah ha! moment for most that is filled with “I can’t believe we’re getting married!” and “Your the most beautiful woman in the world!” and “Look at my handsome man!” and tears and laughter and private jokes and no one else around to interrupt…well, except us, but we promise not to interrupt, just quietly capture your special moment.  We even leave you to yourselves for a little while – alone time is great, and this is our one little slice of time pre-ceremony that we can give you two that you get to keep all to yourselves!  Some ask if it’s really as special as waiting until the ceremony.  Here are a few of my favorite first look moments, and I think the images speak for themselves.  I love how each bride grabs on to her groom in a different way.

Kristi - Every time I see that photo of Brooke it makes me tear up a little. The emotion of that moment for her is so tangible in the picture.December 17, 2009 - 9:12 am
