Yesterday was the first day of fall. A season known for it’s crisp cool air, frosty mornings, and brightly colored leaves ushering in the fast approaching holiday season. Scarves work their way out of hiding, flannel sheets change out the cotton Supima, and squash of all shapes and sizes ripen in the fields.
Somehow the 91 degrees that we were enjoying yesterday just didn’t quite fit the picture. Instead of layering up, we were heading to the lake and playing with the hose. The unpredictability of life is very much like the weather. Just when you think you know what is around the bend, the unexpected happens. Sometimes pleasantly, sometimes challenging. The real character tester is how well you roll with it. Here at the Bowie house, we apparently take a bucket of car suds and make a bath. That has to be similar to lemons and lemonade. Enjoy yet another splendid sun-shining fall day!

Mike was trying to wash the car, but the hose was commandeered by two not-so-stealth theives.

Drinking soapy hose water? Not the best plan. Seriously though, Addison has had worse hair days if you can believe it.

When it’s all said and done, they had a fabulous time for almost two hours. Tell me that isn’t worth any clean up. Silver lining: when they took a bath afterwards we didn’t need to add any soap.
